Timber Treatments And Woodworm
Do You Need A Report?
If you think you have a problem with dry rot, wet rot or woodworm, we can provide a full Damp and Timber Report. This will give a professional assessment of any problems, suggest a course of action and include a quote.
We regularly undertake these reports on behalf of local estate agents, surveyors and private clients.

Do You Need Timber Treatment?
If our report – or a report carried out by someone else – identifies a problem, we can undertake work as follows.
Woodworm – A Safe, Modern Method
We use a safe, effective insecticidal treatment called Permethrin, which eliminates woodworm insects on contact as they emerge from timber. This is a water-based treatment that minimises the risk to people, pets and the environment. It is also recommended by the Cornwall Bat Group as non-harmful to bats.
It is safe to re-enter the treated area after just one hour.
Dry Rot And Wet Rot – A Complete Solution
Dry rot and wet rot are caused by water penetration. Our work will include the following steps:
- identify the source of water penetration
- carry out the necessary remedial work
- remove or repair weakened timbers
- treat remaining timbers with water-based fungicidal formulations.
